Join us for the Drug Overdose Prevention & Response Training, a free community class offered by College of Eastern Idaho WTCE in partnership with Eastern Idaho Public Health at the Idaho Falls Public Library.
This training provides vital knowledge and skills, including opioid and naloxone education, an overview of the Idaho Good Samaritan Law, recognizing and responding to an opioid overdose, and understanding stigma and accessing community resources. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how you can make a difference in preventing and responding to opioid overdoses in our community!
Need to know what to do in case of an overdose? During this in-depth training, you will learn to recognize the signs of overdose and train on how to use Narcan. Free samples of Narcan will be available for participants who complete the training.
This event will be held Tuesdays, 12pm in the 2nd Floor Program Room on the following dates:
- February 4
- March 18
- May 6
- July 8
- September 16
- November 4

Let’s Talk About It is back at the Idaho Falls Public Library!
Come learn about American Voices during this book discussion series led by scholars from around the state.
Meetings will be held on the January 25th, February 22nd and March 22nd, at 11am.
The books included in this discussion series are:
- January 25 – American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang, discussion lead by Carlen Donovan
- February 22 – Call Us What We Carry by Amanda Gorman, discussion lead by Carrie Seymour and
- March 22 – Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive by Stephanie Land, discussion lead by Carlen Donovan
You can pick up a book set at the 3rd floor desk.
We are so grateful to the Idaho Commission for Libraries – ICfL and the Idaho Humanities Council for this opportunity.
You must have a membership in order to participate, and all books are due back at the conclusion of the program on March 22nd.
